My Revamped Site
Hello everyone, I had my photography site further revamped into a more 'personal' kind of thingy. Well, I had removed most of the links leaving only links to my photo albums, my stock photography site and also Lensa Malaysia.
On photography front, I had begun studying photographs of various famous masters and try to comprehend the various type of styles while at the same time, googling for their philosophy behind their pictures. Well, in my personal opinion (and quite a lot of photographers' out there too!) philosophy is an important ingredient in photography. We can have the ability to emulate others in terms of style, composition and various other methods in photography but without philosophy, I guess we can never reproduce originality. I know, my photos itself is half past six but I am working hard towards the technical side of photography and hopefully, something would emerge out of it.
With the above mentioned, I'll leave you with my latest photo entitled 'Going Home'.
Going Home

A little bit about the story on the photo above. This was taken just few weeks ago while I participated the Penang Bridge Marathon in Penang, Malaysia. This photo was significant to me in the fact that the last time I was in one of these ferry, I was only 13 years old and remembered vividly that I was barely tall enough to touch the railings but I could feel the sea in between the bars. The feeling was great and 18 years after that, the feeling never changed a bit. The only difference between now and then was that I am tall enough now to peer over the bar and it really felt like time had frozen in it's tracks while things never changed one bit since I left the ferry 18 years ago. So, I decided to have this photo in black and white to signify the never changing memory in me and hoped that things will remain the same for many more years to come.
